What is it?
Student’s from Harvard College’s class of 2021 came together to create the student music group “21 Colorful Crimson” which is composed of 21 students from diverse backgrounds and talents. The group boasts that their diversity is what makes them so successful—for Yardfest of 2018 they group opened for Lil Yachty and has been hired to perform around campus.

Why is it important?
These students are a direct representation of what a diverse and integrated campus looks like; they celebrate the diversity of their class and acknowledge that diversity is what makes community thrive. Their efforts are perhaps not to advance any particular social justice mission, but the impact is that they serve as an example for the larger Harvard community.
