What is it?

“GSAS Diversity Fellows Focus On BGLTQ, Representation Issues”: new fellows Andrew A. Westover and Xavier J. Du Maine, in conjunction with inaugural Fellow Alyssa M. Hernandez to be charged with providing “stronger and better support” for BGLTQ students, academically, socially, and personally.

Goal 1: Recruitment, Retention, and Development Practices for Excellence

Why is it important?

These fellows will now create a system of support for LGBTQ students to excel, providing them with an equal opportunity to participate academically to their fullest extent. It promotes a culture and environment that is supportive of all identities and treats individuals holistically, understanding struggle and discrimination
