Angela Alberti

Angela joined the Office for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (OEDIB) in 2021. She manages outreach, event marketing, print and digital communications including OEDIB websites, social media, email, video production, and strategy.

For over a decade, she worked at Harvard Medical School, first in the Office of Communications and External relations, managing internal and community events including the Longwood Seminars and Talks@12 series, as well as coordinating media relations and internal communications, including the launch of MyHMS, the School’s intranet. Angela also served as a writer, copyeditor, and production coordinator for Harvard Medicine News, and the dean's annual report. Later, at the Center for Bioethics, she managed all communications, including marketing and recruiting for the master’s degree and fellowship programs, oversaw a website redesign, and all editorial and event communications.

In her previous roles directing alumni relations and communications at Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and UMass Boston she managed global events, social media, and alumni publications.

Angela is an executive board member and cochair of the outreach committee on Harvard’s Joint Committee on the Status of Women. She was nominated as a Harvard Hero in 2013. Angela holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of New Mexico and a master’s degree in journalism from Harvard. Her education also includes a leadership certificate from Simmons University, and design, documentary photography, and filmmaking coursework from MassArt.
